Back in 2005, Matt Lewis and Renato Poliafito opened up a successful bakery in Red Hook, Brooklyn called Baked. Their success in the business has grown and grown, with the help of the sale of their cookbooks and bakeware. Now Manhattanites get to join in on the fun with the opening of Baked Tribeca.

The beautifully decorated space (designed by Fjord Architecture) will serve an array of cakes and treats, not to mention breakfast, lunch, tea and late night bar snacks. Baked Tribeca collaborated with Hervé Poussot of Almondine Bakery to provide customers with a fine selection of toasts, along with mouth-watering house-made toppings such as zucchini butter, Nutella-style spread, nut butters and more. You can also snag beer and wine at the new Baked location, which will be open Monday-Friday from 7am until 10pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8am until 10pm. Not only can you nosh on all your favorite baked goods here, but the space will also be available for private parties, as well as consultations for wedding cakes and other celebratory confections.

The official opening of the new location coincided with the release of their latest cookbook, Baked Occasions: Desserts for Leisure Activities, Holidays and Informal Celebrations. During the opening party, Baked set up a smorgasbord of tasty treats — from cakes, cupcakes and whoopie pies to peanut butter and chocolate covered rice krispie treats and coconut curry spiced chocolate cookies. Each sweet treat was tastier than the next! If you find yourself in the neighborhood, or if you’re just craving something sweet, make Baked your go-to destination. But don’t blame us if you end up gaining a few lbs in the process!
