Newly opened in Park Slope, Brooklyn, is a fun, intimate space that is sure to make its mark for late night fun. Henri on Fifth, a concept brought to locals by Binh Douglas, offers craft cocktails, eclectic small, sharable bites, and retro board games.

Their libations range from gin and vodka to whiskey and rum, all of which are perfect for a night out. We particularly enjoyed the Bourbon Street Bon Bon, made with bourbon, molasses, and fresh lemon. The food served at Henri is perfect for sharing with friends and is just the kind of stuff you’d want to nosh on pre, post or during a night of drinking. Inspired by the seasons, the menu will continually change throughout the year. Currently, they have deliciously warming soups (all served in steins, with toast), like Butternut Squash, Tomato Bisque and Split Pea, as well as a selection of salads. Their mini sandwiches are definitely worth getting your hands on — from the Die Klassische, made with munster cheese, sauerkraut, bratwurst served on pretzel bread with beer mustard dip, to Le Classique, made with gruyere, caramelized shallots, garlic toast and sherry thyme au jus, you’re mouth will be watering for more.

Other dishes include Swaddled Swine (aka pigs in a blanket), Banh ‘Mini’ Tacos, Sriracha Deviled Eggs (so yummy), and more. And while the food and drink are certainly tasty, its the lively atmosphere that could keep you here for hours. Decked out with your favorite games from your pre-teen years, Henri on Fifth is a space for people to mix and mingle and make new friends. From arcade-style Pac-Man to Connect Four and Hungry, Hungry Hippos, to more recent games like Cards Against Humanity, you’ll have a hard time choosing how to begin your night. Additionally, the space will offer outdoor seating in the warmer seasons.

So if you’re looking for a neighborhood spot that encourages getting off your cell phones, making friends and enjoying good food and drink, then this is a spot for you.

Henri on Fifth is located at 279 Fifth Avenue, Brooklyn.
