Happy National Vodka Day! Plus Giveaway!

by

happy-national-vodka-day National Vodka Day is upon us this coming October 4th and if you are having trouble deciding how to celebrate this day then I have a few options for you. From recipes and giveaways to the best restaurants to celebrate at, this is your guide to celebrating vodka in all of its glory.

Where to Celebrate
If you are looking to celebrate with a group of friends, the best places to celebrate are at Calle Dão and the W New York Downtown. Great vodka cocktails and good food to celebrate the day…how can it get any better?

Calle Dão is a Cuban Chinese fusion restaurant that is offering three special vodka cocktails, all priced at $14 each, that represent the migration of Chinese immigrants to Cuba. The 1847 cocktail represents the year the first Chinese workers were brought to Cuba by ship and the drink consists of orange-infused vodka, amaretto, sesame oil, lime and ginger, garnished with star anise. The Hai Chi cocktail is named after that same ship that first carried the Chinese workers; this cocktail consists of Hang 1 Mandarin Blossom Vodka, plum sake, Patron Citronge, lemongrass and pomegranate. Lastly, the Beny Moré cocktail is named after the popular Cuban singer of the same name and is made up of ginger-infused vodka, Patron Citronge and wild hibiscus flowers and lemon.

W New York- Downtown is also joining in on the fun by having their mixologist Eben Klemm create a special vodka cocktail to kick off the celebration. The Great Harbor cocktail has just three key ingredients: orange vodka, tropical guava (yum!) and Aperol. Easy, simple and by the sounds of it, delicious!
