Healthy Eating with StarKist Tuna and Hungry Girl

StarKist has long been the go-to brand for getting your tuna fix into your day. However, what many people may not know, is that the distinguished brand serves up more than just your standard canned tuna. In fact, they even have single-serving pouches of ready-to-scarf-down tuna — complete with different delicious flavors and seasonings!

Last week, we joined StarKist and Hungry Girl Lisa Lillien to learn all about StarKist’s new products, as well as a first look at The Hungry Girl Diet Cookbook: Healthy Recipes for Mix-n-Match Meals & Snacks. The exclusive sneak peek introduced us to the new StarKist Kid’s Creations tuna pouches, which come in bacon ranch and honey bbq flavors. These quick and easy pouches are perfect meals for kids (and adults) on the go, and are packed with 14g of lean protein, as well as DHA Omega-3 fatty acids and clock in at 110 calories or less. The tear n’ serve pouches will be available beginning in September of 2015 and we can vouch that they taste delicious!

But that’s not all we got to try! Other snacks at the sneak peek included other tasty bites from StarKist’s other delectable pouches, including their hot buffalo style tuna, and even lemon dill and mango chipotle salmon. Not only are these pouches small and easy to carry anywhere, but they require no draining or mixing, making life a hell of a lot easier.

We aren’t the only ones to think so, either — Hungry Girl Lisa Lillien even including StarKist products in recipes in her latest cookbook, which contains 200 mouthwatering recipes, from breakfast to dessert, and all the mini meals in-between. In fact, some of the recipes seem so good you won’t believe that they are actually healthy! Drool-worthy options include Stuffed n’ Smothered Berry French Toast, Chicken Marinara Stuffed Potato, Mac n’ Chicken n’ Cheese, and Double-Chocolate Brownie Bites.

So whether you are looking for something healthy that’s quick and easy, or something that you can whip up at home, both StarKist products and The Hungry Girl Diet Cookbook can help you on your way to a healthier lifestyle.
