Last season we were honored to attend B Michael America‘s New York Fashion Week runway show as part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center. Luckily we were invited back to check out what the American couturier and ready-to-wear designer has in store for his Fall/Winter 2014 collection. Front row celebs included Cicely Tyson, Condola Rashad, and Debra Martin Chase, among others.
The large collection featured a range of prints, colors and textures, that somehow all seemed to form into a cohesive collection. The designer drew inspiration from the ‘quintessential American,’ using clean lines, architectural details and timeless glamor. Keeping the modern American man and woman in mind, B Michael developed a luxurious collection that transformed from daywear to cocktail wear, all the way to festive evening-wear as the show progressed. The excitement of the crowd was palpable once the evening-wear made an appearance, made only more glamorous by the models donning masks, because let’s face it, everyone loves a masquerade.
