Jeffrey Fashion Cares Takes Over Chelsea

Throughout the year there are numerous fashion shows and charity events in Manhattan, but nothing beats Jeffrey Fashion Cares. From the fashion to the auctions and models, the night is filled with endless fun while supporting the LGBT community. Within the past ten years, the event has raised over $5 million for LGBT and HIV organizations, including Acria, the Hetrick-Martin Institute and Lambda Legal.

Taking over the ArtBeam in Chelsea, Jeffrey Fashion Cares attracts notable fashion icons and celebrities, including ‘the’ Anna Wintour and this year’s honoree guest Zachary Quinto. While guests drank Grey Goose mixed drinks and passed food, people were able to bid on an array of items that would grab any fashionisto’s attention. From a Christian Louboutin bag to Johnston & Murphy shoes and vacations, all the items were part of the silent auction that occurred before the fashion show started. However, the three top prizes were held for the live auction, which included a Prada Experience, tickets to Elton John’s Academy Awards Party and passes to Paris Men’s Fashion Week.

The VIP Paris Men’s Fashion Week Package was the night’s biggest auction, which raked in over $12,000 and included a five-night stay for two during fashion week in January 2016, business airfare for two and tickets to at least 2 shows.

As the auctions ended, the highlight of the night was just about to begin. Showcasing the latest trends and the hottest items that can be purchased at Jeffrey’s, the models graced the runway with style and lots of cheer. From the sweatshirts to shorts and bathing suits, all the models grabbed the attention of attendees, including Californian model Trevor van Uden who wore a colorful camouflage style bathing suit.

While the fun filled night continued with music and drink, as people left the event they were given gift bags that were filled with tons of goodies that will make them feel pampered and stylish. Some of the items that were in this year’s gift bags were sunglasses from I.C. Berlin, items from Lelo and an invitation to exclusively view Prada’s fall men’s collection.
