Woo hoo!  The John Dory Oyster Bar has extended their late afternoon weekday happy hour to the weekends. On Saturdays and Sundays from 12-7pm, guests can enjoy a half dozen oysters or clams, along with their choice of Bloody Mary, Michelada, sparkling wine, or Oyster Stout for just $18. Make sure to check it out!

Crown is kicking it up a notch lately. Last month, the UES eatery launched fall brunch, offered from 11:30am until 3pm. There you can enjoy dishes from Chef John DeLucie, such as Maine Lobster Fritatta, Ricotta Pancakes and more.

October brings us the launch of a new contemporary kosher restaurant, Reserve Cut, located at The Setai Wall Street. Executive Chef Hok Chin will debut a menu of French and Asian inpsired dishes such as Salt Baked Mediterranean Branzino and Glazed Veal Sweetbreads.

October marks Vegetarian Awareness Month and our fave chef, David Burke is celebrating. Head to David Burke Townhouse for an amazing vegetarian menu, available daily for both lunch and dinner. Menu highlights include Fresh Cut Pumpkin Pasta, Tomato Leek Scramble, Honey-Soy Roasted Cauliflower and more.

Newly opening Casa Pomona is now serving brunch! Every Saturday and Sunday from 11am until 4pm, the UWS spot offers a bottomless brunch with sangria and mimosas for just a brunch menu purchase of $15. Options include Tortilla Espanola, Honey Wheat Waffles and plenty more.

Empire Steak House is celebrating its three year anniversary! Say congrats by stopping by between October 14th and 18th when you can receive house wines, mixed drinks and martinis for just $6.95. Not bad huh?

Loreley Restaurant & Biergarten kicked off its annual Sausage Festival this past weekend. Sausage lovers can celebrate through the 13th, with samples of sausages from all over the world and amazing sausage platters.

Can you believe Hurricane Sandy was one year ago? All month long, Tres Carnes will donate a portion of its proceeds from all burrito sales to Friends of Rockaway.  Customers are encouraged to “show off their burrito & get a free Tres Carnes Limeade” when they tag #BuildWithBurritos & @TresCarnes to their social networking accounts, like Twitter, Facebook & Instagram.

Kimpton’s 70 Park Avenue Hotel just launched Silverleaf Coffee & Tea, a new grab and go concept offering coffee blends from Caffe Vita. Enjoy pastries, treats, healthy menu options, and of course coffee and tea.

The Royal is now launching Uncorked Tuesdays, which takes place from 4pm-12am every week. Here you can enjoy half priced bottles of you favorite red and white wines, including Malbec, Riesling, Pinot Noir and more!

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Richard Sandoval Restaurants partnered with the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Maya, Pampano and Zengo will be offering the Pink Ribbon Agua Fresca beverage all month, and $1 from each drink sold will go towards the foundation. The $4 drink is made with fresh watermelon and filled with antioxidants.

Dig Inn Seasonal Market launches their #SproutToLunch campaign on October 9th. The program encourages us busy New Yorkers to slow down and enjoy the last weeks of good weather. Their most celebrated dish, Roasted Brussels Sprouts, is the focal point of their campaign as they encourage customers to take photos of ‘Picnic Pints’ of brussels sprouts. The campaign, which concludes on October 24th, will pick a winner with the best photo to win free lunch for a whole month!

The W Hotels of New York have created a special whiskey cocktail flight, featuring three whiskey-based cocktail, for just $21. These fun cocktails will be offered through November and are available at The Living Rooms of W New York Times Square and W New York Downtown.
