If you have ever seen some of those reality shows that are geared towards brides and grooms, then you know how stressful it can be to plan a wedding and make sure that everything goes off without a hitch. While I may not be engaged, I always find myself tuning in and sometimes even binge-watching shows like Say Yes to the Dress and Bridezillas. These shows are enough to turn me off of marriage. But if you like the element of surprise and want to cut down on the stress, let’s be honest–even if you are not planning the whole thing, you will be stressed about the big day. If you want to bypass some of that pre-wedding stress, Popbliss might just be what you are looking for.

Popbliss is a luxury group pop-up wedding, and their first event took place in New York City at the end of March. On March 31st, six couples got married at PopBliss and exchanged vows. PopBliss has a set schedule for all the brides and grooms, which I find to be so exciting. All the couples are given cameras so that they can document their big day. Before the wedding, the couples relax during their BlissBrunch and afterwards, they are taken to their suites for a glam treatment. On the big day they were taken to the Hornblower Infinity where they said their “I Do’s” and partied the night away. PopBliss takes care of all the wedding preparations so that all you have to do is show up for the event and…get married!

For the first wedding event, the food was provided by Love Dynasty and desserts were provided by Desserts by Dana, Sweet Dream Mini Donuts, and There Should Always Be Cake. The event was streamed on the PopBliss website, which I find to be so convenient for those that are not able to attend the wedding. I find this idea to be so fascinating, the fact that a group of complete strangers agree to be married during the same ceremony. Raquel Kristi, founder and creator of Popbliss, couldn’t have said it better when she stated “The couples were all so different but all have bonded which was the goal all along, I heard they are even planning anniversary trips together!” This is pop-up wedding business has the potential to not only create new friendships but also create memories that these couples can tell their kids and grand-kids about for years to come. Oh, and did we mention it only costs $5,000?!
