Hakuna matata, what a wonderful phrase. We certainly had no worries when we had the opportunity to score tickets to see The Lion King on Broadway! The Disney production was spectacular from start to finish, entertaining both children and adults alike.

From the costumes to the staging and the props to the performers, every little detail seemed to be just right. The costumes and props went hand in hand in this production, for many of the characters utilized intricate puppets to portray their animal. After the show, we were excited to meet with some of the prop masters who explained the engineering behind some of the most elaborate puppets from the show, some of which take months to create. This only added to our amazement at how the performers were able to not only act and dance, but also work a puppet, complete with blinking eyes, open mouths and more, all at the same time — and they made it look easy!

It was also a breathtaking experience to witness the athletic and nimble bodies of the performers, all of whom wowed the audience. The dance, along with the singing, make for an awe-inspiring theater experience. Of course, we all know the story of The Lion King, so there’s no need to recount that for you, but all of the cast, from Young Simba and Nala to Rafiki and Scar, all killed their performances. The combination of singing, dancing and acting, along with the scenery and props, made for a show that you just can’t take your eyes off of. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself singing along to the tunes days later.

Luckily, you don’t have to take our word for how great the show is…you can see for yourself! We are GIVING AWAY 2 free tickets to see The Lion King on Broadway. The tickets are for the performance on Thursday, March 3rd, 2016 at 7pm. Enter below and good luck!
