Shopping for vintage luxury handbags and jewelry has never been so exciting! LXR & Co., a quaint vintage store in Soho, partnered with Rosie’s Theater Kids for a Sip and Shop event last week.

Rosie’s Theater Kids is an arts education program serving students from lower-income communities founded by Rosie O’Donnell. The organization offers the opportunity for children to experience theater, music, dance, and drama, all while guiding them academically. Located in the thriving theater district at The Maravel Arts Center, fifth graders are introduced to a 15 week in-school program of song, dance, and other students who are passionate about the arts. They are even given the opportunity to attend Broadway shows.

So why focus on education in the arts? Training in the arts instills discipline and builds confidence. For a lot of the children, Rosie’s Theater Kids will give them the opportunity to experience personal achievement and to strive for excellence. With a one hundred percent high school graduation rate, they are doing more than a few things right.

So it’s no surprise that LXR & Co. wanted to partner with the organization to help raise money and awareness. LXR & Co is a store specializing in pre-owned luxury handbags, jewelry, and watches. If you’re in the market for an authentic discounted Chanel, Hermes, or Louis Vuitton bag, LXR & Co is the place to go. Guests at the event were able to shop designer luxury items and sip on refreshing sparkling wine donated by Christina Milian’s Viva Diva Wines. LXR & Co generously donated 20% of the proceeds to Rosie’s Theater Kids.

Twisted Talk: Do you think the arts are important for children? Have you ever shopped at LXR & Co.? Discuss below!
