What’s more exciting than spending an afternoon tasting an array of champagne cocktails and indulging in delectable antipasti? Well, nothing! As the official champagne sponsor of the Tales of Cocktail, Nicolas Feuillatte, invited Manhattan with a Twist to L’Apicio for an afternoon tasting preview.

The event, co-host by NY Champagne Week Founder Blaine Ashley, started off with cocktail tasting with drinks created by Charlotte Voisey of William Grant & Sons for the pre-awards VIP reception. While tasty hor d’oeuvres were passed, I first tasted the Hendricks French 75. This refreshing drink was created with English cucumbers, Nicolas Feuillatte and Hendricks gin. Cucumbers are the perfect complement to Hendricks. Next, was the La Vie en Rose. Made with Reyka Vodka, Lillet Rose, fresh pineapple and Nicolas Feuillatte. Lastly, my all time favorite was Nikki Foo. This sassy cocktail was made with Solerno Blood Orange liqueur, chilled hibiscus tea, raspberry vinegar and, of course, Nicolas Feuillatte.

While indulging in a selection of L ‘Apacio’s best appetizers, including a grilled endive salad, orecchiette pasta and veggie lasagna, guests had the opportunity to sip Nicolas Feuillatte’ Brut Réserve and Brut Rosé.

France’s number one selling champagne, Nicolas Feuillatte has been wowing champagne lovers for 35 years. Its texture is silky and aromas are revitalizing and elegant. The varietals used are sourced from across the entire Champagne region. It’s no wonder Nicolas Feuillatte is the official champagne sponsors of the Tales of Cocktails. Held annually in New Orleans, Tales of the Cocktail is the world’s premier cocktail festival, bringing together the international spirits community for five days of what’s now, what’s new and what’s next in bartending.
