Since the Super Bowl is taking place in New York City this weekend, Diageo pulled out all the stops by hosting the Liquid Cellar all week long. This event space has been and continues to host some of the best parties of the week leading up to the big game. Last night, Smirnoff Ice hosted their ‘Ladies with Game’ tailgate in honor of the ‘Bowl.
Since I probably haven’t had Smirnoff Ice since my first sip of alcohol, I was unsure what to expect, but they knew what they were doing. The venue was bedazzled with numerous different flavors of Smirnoff Ice, a nostalgic nod to my delinquent teenage years, and just as bubbly and delicious as I remember. In addition to regular bottles of Smirnoff Ice, bartenders were also serving up some awesome sangria. To soak it all up there was plenty of football-friendly food, such as potato skins, sliders, chocolate covered strawberries and more. DJ Kalkutta spun some kick-ass tunes while guests enjoyed their hand at a few classic games — corn hole, ring toss and Jenga. Additionally, party goers were able to get their photo taken and get their hair and nails done. Because no one tailgates without looking like a star. Oh, and if you are actually heading to the game and are disgruntled about the no bags rule, snag a Booby Pack — a fanny pack for your bra! Sneaky, huh?
Try out some of their great recipes in anticipation of Superbowl Sunday!
