I have never really been a believer in fitness apps, or the Instagram and Facebook videos that show you easy-to-do workout routines. I am an old fashioned type of girl, which means you can probably find a Taebo VHS tape somewhere in the back of my closet. After gaining a bunch of unwanted weight last year, I decided that this year I needed to take control of my life, and start on my journey to living a healthier lifestyle and lose some weight. I was sidetracked from my dancing and working out so I needed that extra motivation to get back in the groove. Due to the hectic schedule that I have, I realized that these fitness apps are, in fact, a blessing. The first fitness app that I actually downloaded, tried, and loved is still the only fitness app that I have on my phone. SworkIt is an app that has customizable workouts for everyone. Around 14 million people have already downloaded the app, so why haven’t you?
The best thing about the Sworkit app is that it is available on both iOS and Android phones. When I finally decided to try a workout app, it was so hard to find an app for my Android phone that meets my needs. We are living in a world today where everything is customizable. The fact that this app makes your workouts customizable is what sets it apart from other apps. This will motivate people that do not like to work out because they think that it will be boring. Now you won’t have that excuse, because you can customize the workout to have something that you will actually enjoy doing.
The app is very easy to use — all you have to do is select what part of the body you want to work out. You have an option of choosing from over 20 pre-built workouts or you have the option to create your own. Depending on how much time you have to work out, you then choose the workout length. The app provides video instructions and audio cues that make it easy to follow along. Easy, right?
The creators behind the app are what really gives the app credibility. The app was created when Benjamin Young (CEO) met Gregory Coleman (COO), who is a former U.S. Air Force officer and fitness expert. They later met Ryan Hanna, VP of Product Engineering, who is also a U.S. army officer. Who better than to get fitness advice from then a group of guys who have extensive fitness experience from the US Army? This makes the app great, because it ultimately creates a variety of workouts that will help people at any level get fit.
If you are not convinced, I would highly suggest that you download the free app and try it out for yourself. The free version provides enough workouts to reach your ultimate beach bod. You will get video demonstrations by real trainers and you have the ability to design at least 3 personalized custom workouts, and sync the workouts directly to Health, Google Fit & MyFitness Pal. The best thing about the premium version is that you can save an unlimited amount of workouts.
So what are you waiting for? Go and download the app and give it a month. I promise you will like how convenient it is to use. For more information on the app and any future launches visit their website at www.sworkit.com. They also have the Sworkit Kids app available at the Apple App Store and Google Play.
