If the weekend long festivities of Cinco de Mayo last week were not enough for party goers, then people should consider heading down to Mexico, where the celebration is non-stop. Book a stay at Casa Magna Marriott Puerto Vallarta Resort and Spa, which is one of the few resorts in the world that creates its own brand of tequila. Brewed from agave grown on site, the resort has started a new weekly tequila tasting program, part of their Secretos del Tequila program, that will give guests both knowledge and appreciation for tequila.

Waking up as the ocean breeze fills the room every morning, guests will enjoy breathtaking views of the crystal clear water and gigantic palm trees. Before heading to the tequila tasting, people can either bask in the sun on the beach or get a massage at the Ohtli Spa. For golf lovers, Casa Magna has three marvelous golf courses that will make vacationers feel as if they are in a golfer’s paradise. From spas to fining dining, Casa Magna gives any guest the pleasure of relaxation.

Once guests feel refreshed and are ready drink some of the resort’s finest liquor, they can head to La Cava, one of the stunning dinning rooms and tequila cellar. Audrey Formisano, the resort’s tequila sommelier, leads an informational session that educates guests about the history and process of making their liquor. People should not expect huge glasses of tequila on the rocks, but the resort explains that authentic Mexican tequila is made to be sipped in order to savor the flavor. However, guest can sip all five types of tequila that the resorts produce, including White Tequila, Joven, Rested, Aged and Extra Aged.
