The Spookiest Halloween Cocktails


Tricks and treats abound this time of year and we are getting excited! Nothing gets people in the mood like a good cocktail and we have some of the most haunting recipes you can brew up.

Halloween 01

Caveira Cocktail (Courtesy of Novo Fogo Cachaça)
1.5 oz Novo Fogo Barrel-Aged Cachaça
0.5 oz Ancho Reyes
0.5 oz cold brew coffee
0.25 oz cinnamon syrup
2 dashes Scrappy’s Aromatic Bitters

Stir, strain and garnish with an orange twist.

Halloween 03

Cachaça Zombie (Created by Jane Danger, Mother of Pearl NYC)
1 oz Novo Fogo Chameleon Cachaça
1 oz Novo Fogo Tanager Cachaça
0.25 oz Giffard Triple Sec
0.75 oz lime juice
0.5 oz orange juice
0.5 oz passionfruit syrup
1 dash Scrappy’s Aromatic Bitters
1 dash absinthe

Shake and pour over crushed ice into a tiki mug.

Smokin' Head Caesar

SMOKIN’ HEAD CAESAR (Courtesy of Crystal Head Vodka)
2 oz. Crystal Head Vodka
5 oz. Clamato (Caesar) or tomato juice (Bloody Mary)
dash of Worcestershire sauce
dash of hot sauce
dash of liquid smoke

1⁄4 tsp. salt
1⁄4 tsp. pepper
1⁄2 tsp. smoked paprika

4 oz Angry Orchard Crisp Apple
1 oz White Rum
0.75 oz Lime Juice
0.5 oz Ginger Syrup**
0.5 oz Creme de Cassis or Creme de Muir
For ginger syrup:
1 cup finely chopped fresh ginger
2 cups sugar
2 cups water

Add White Rum, Lime Juice and Ginger syrup to shaker. Strain into Collins glass with ice. Top with Angry Orchard Crisp Apple and Crème de Cassis. Garnish with lime wheel and blackberries. For ginger syrup: Peel the ginger and then finely chop. Add all ingredients to the pot and bring to boil. Allow to cook for 2 min then remove from heat and let steep for 20 minutes. Strain syrup through a fine strainer. Keep refrigerated.


Ghostly Brew (Courtesy of Bluecoat American Dry Gin)
Q Ginger Beer
3 mint leaves, muddled
1 ½ part Bluecoat Gin
¾ part lime juice
½ part ginger syrup

Shake & strain over ice. Top with Q Drinks Ginger Beer.

3 eyeball ice cubes
2 oz. vodka
8 oz. mix
1 Jar Green Olives
Bloody Mix:
¼ c. tomato juice
Pinch horseradish
1 tsp. Worcestershire
4 dashes hot sauce (Tabasco, Tapatío hot sauce, etc.)
1 lemon, fresh squeezed
Black pepper & celery salt to taste

Eyeball Ice Cubes: Remove green olives with pimento from a jar. Replace pimentos with black olive slices and place in ice cube trays to freeze in ice. Pour Bloody mix and vodka over eyeball ice cubes.


Witches’ Brew (Courtesy of Gallow Green)
2 oz Japanese Whisky
.5 oz Midori
.5 oz Green Tea Matcha Syrup
.25 oz Yuzu juice
3 dashes Thai bitters
2 Maraschino cherries for garnish

Combine all liquid ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake. Strain into rocks glass over fresh ice. Garnish with two Maraschino cherries.


Spiced Apple Cider (Courtesy of Cruzan Rum)
1 1/2 parts Cruzan Aged Dark Rum
1 part Cider
1 part Simple Syrup
3/4 parts Fresh Lemon Juice

Combine all ingredients in a glass and serve over ice. Garnish with freshly grated cinnamon and allspice.


Witching Hour (Courtesy of Mattias Horseman, Hendrick’s Gin)
3 parts Hendrick’s Gin
½ part Chamboard
1 part fresh lemon juice
1 part lavender syrup
Dry sparkling wine (to top-off)

Shake all ingredients except the sparkling wine, and double strain into flute.

1 part Tullamore D.E.W. Irish Whiskey
1 part Cherry Liqueur (preferably Cherry Heering)
1 part Sweet Vermouth
1 part Orange juice, freshly squeezed

Add all the ingredients to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake, and strain into a rocks glass.


The Bloody Matte Black (Courtesy of Round K)
The Pitch Black Latte is made from:
2 tablespoons of 98% Dutch processed CACAO Powder
1 tablespoon of Organic Coconut Ash
8 oz. of Almond milk
2 oz. of Espresso
The Deeper than Black topping is made from:
1 cup of almond milk
1 cup of coconut cream
3 tablespoons of 98% dutch processed Cacao powder
1 tablespoon of coconut ash
The Bloody Drip is made from:
1 tablespoon of dehydrated beets powder
1 tablespoon of cranberry extract powder
1 cup of coconut cream
