Pergola Upstairs

Pergola, which just opened in Manhattan’s Flatiron District, is a fabulous new place to spend your evenings. The multi-level restaurant is super sexy with dark wood and brick walls and beautiful greenery, which changes seasonally. The new space features a hookah menu, which offers guests 14 different flavors to choose from, as well as an extensive cocktail list.

Executive chef Nestor Moina dishes out some truly exceptional items with influences from Greece, Turkey and across the Middle East. Make sure to try the Mezze Platter ($12), which includes traditional hummus, kalamata tapenade, and babaganoush, served with grilled and spicy fried pita — it will surely start your evening off right. Other standouts on the menu include the Grilled Prawn ($25), made with tomato orzo, yellow polenta and spinach, the Wild Salmon ($20) with a falafel crust, tzatiki, bulgur and chopped tomato, and Phyllo Cigars ($10) comprised of ground lamb, chicken and golden raisin and sauteed squash, zucchini and carrot.

The cocktail menu features fun beverages such as the Peras Fizz (Blanco Tequila, chai syrup, lemon juice, pear brandy anise) and the Lavender-Lime Collins (gin, lime juice, Luxardo Marachino, lavendar-violete liqueur, soda, thyme), all created by Scott Fitzgerald. Additionally, the bar features a selection of beers and wines and has an outstanding happy hour. Mondays through Fridays from 5-8pm guests can enjoy $6 drafts, wine, prosecco, and red sangria and $8 well mixed drinks. During happy hour, hookahs will also be discounted to $15 and a selection of appetizers will be available for just $6.

After dinner you can enjoy a fine selection of teas and dessert items, like Loukoumades (fried donuts) and chocolate mint truffle tea. With so much to offer it’s easy to spend your whole night enjoying yourself at Pergola. We recommend you try it!

Pergola is located at 36 W. 28th Street.
