Warm Up at Financier Patisserie this Season

by
Financier Patisserie, the successful chain of cafes and bakeries throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn, is known for keeping its customers happy. They frequently update and change their menu to satisfy their clientele, especially to keep in time with the seasons and holidays (just see what they did for Bastille Day!) In keeping in fashion with their high standards, the shop has recently introduced a great Fall menu.

The patisserie has added all day breakfast to the menu, along with lunch sandwiches, soups, quiche, salads, desserts, and a new dark roast coffee. There are a number of new sandwiches to choose from — from Sprouts and Hummus to the Honey Dijon Turkey and Brie, there are options for everyone. The Chicken Salad and Bacon is a delicious, hearty option, with crunchy, crispy bread and plenty of flavor. In addition to the sandwiches, Financier Patisserie has some great soup selections, which you can pair with half a sandwich (or salad and sandwich). The Butternut Squash is dreamy during this brisk time of year, especially since it is made with minimal cream, making it healthier than most alternatives. Additionally, they offer Beef Barley and Chicken and Pastina soups.

If you are hankering more for breakfast, the restaurant offers French Toast with apples, almond butter and jam, as well as Mushroom and Manchego Quiche, among others. Their salads are equally popular, especially their namesake Salade Financier. Pair break or lunch with their new dark roast coffee blend, which is a four bean roast that includes Brazil French roast, Central American coffee, Sumatra and African Peaberries, or one of their Mighty Leaf Teas and you’re all set for the rest of the day!

Not to be missed are their outstanding pastries. From specialty cakes to macarons, and of course, financiers (which come with every cup of coffee or tea), there’s no question that they will impress you. Their Chocolate Mousse cake is the stuff dreams are made of, with almond macaron cake, chocolate ganache, chocolate genoise and chocolate mousse topped with chocolate glaze. And with Thanksgiving just days away, the cafe has three seasonal cakes to entice customers – pumpkin pie, pumpkin cheesecake and apple crumble. Their display case is something to behold — each cake is handmade and decorated so exquisitely it’s almost a shame eating them (somehow we managed).
With ten locations spread throughout the city, it’s easy to stop in at a Financier Patisserie location near you and enjoy all the goodies they have to offer. Stay warm!
