Fuel Your Fitness by Focusing on Recovery at This Brooklyn Fitness Studio

Working out is one of my favorite things to do. It makes me feel good about myself, helps reduce my anxiety, and oftentimes, I find it fun. Now I know not everyone loves working out, but many people do it anyway. In fact, some people work out too much without paying attention to the signals their body is giving them to slow down. I know I’m guilty of that. Park Slope’s Beast: Fitness Evolved is a boutique fitness studio that’s changing things up.

In addition to their standard classes, which include Unleash (a full body HIIT workout) and Core (a core and cardio focused workout), they are about to roll out Tame, a class that focuses solely on recovery. It’s a 45-minute restorative based movement and flow class that focuses on soft tissue treatment, mobility and stability. In the class, we utilize vibrating foam rollers, stretching straps, yoga blocks, and Viprs for deep stretching, tension relief, stability and massaging fatigued muscles. I love that there’s now a place you can go to focus on the recovery portion that most people skip or skimp on for every workout.

Plus, it’s a great way to unwind after a long day.
