PINK Category

Nothing completes a vibrant and stylish woman than nail polish, and Duri has unveiled their The Power of Pink line, which has a variety of stunning pink hues to show support for breast cancer awareness. Each color is named in a clever way, including Pink Warrior, which is a bubblegum pink color and ideal to wear for the annual breast cancer walks. Duri will make a donation to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation for each bottle that is purchased, and is planning to make the line available year long.

Continuing the think pink attitude is Natori with their Pure Luxe Full Fit Bra. The rosy pink and hot coral color is a sleek and silky design, and 100% of the proceeds get donated to cancer research and treatment. The bras are available through the whole month of October at Josie Natori Boutique on Elizabeth Street in Nolita.

Tasca's BC Dessert

Restaurants throughout the city are getting involved with raising awareness and finding a cure. Everyone loves macaroons, and Tasca Chino’s Executive Chef Alex Ureña made the tasty dessert with proceeds donated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Mixed with fresh blackberries and raspberries, the pink macaroon is decorated with pineapple mouse and flower garnishes.

Foxy Lady - The Fillmore Room

The Fillmore Room’s bartender Hakima Ougribe created the Foxy Lady, which uses Giffard Pample mousse liqueur, Rough Rider bourbon, fresh lime juice and agave syrup. With one sip, people will fell in love with the pink drink, which taste like a grapefruit bourbon sour. When people order the Foxy Lady, proceeds will be donated to the Avon Foundation for Women.

Breast Cancer is one of leading cause of death among women, and one of the biggest components of tackling this illness is awareness. From water bottles to nail polish and dessert it is time for people to think pink and find a cure.
