Six Sultry Valentine’s Day Cocktails

As the holiday of love approaches, people are scrambling to make reservations at a romantic restaurant. However, nothing reignites the spark of a relationship better than a dinner at home while serving some unique Valentine’s Day cocktails. This year couples can exchange prix fixe menus and rushed service for a passionate dinner in their own home. From vodka to sake and tequila, these six sultry cocktails will guarantee a memorable Valentine’s Day:

Sauza Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Margarita
3 parts Sauza Silver Tequila
1 part DeKuyper Triple Sec Liqueur
2 part Pucker Strawberry Schnapps
6 part sour mix
2 chocolate-covered strawberries
Chocolate shavings for rimming

Add all ingredients to a blender, puree until smooth. Serve in glasses rimmed with chocolate shavings and chocolate covered strawberries. (Serves 2)

2 oz. TY KU Coconut Sake
Muddled Strawberries

1 1/2 oz. vodka
1 oz. AriZona Watermelon
1/2 oz. lime juice
Lime wedge, for garnish
Mint sprig, for garnish

Pour vodka, AriZona Watermelon, and lime juice into shaker. Fill shaker with ice, shake for 30 seconds. Pour the cocktail into a Collins glass filled with ice. Garnish with watermelon wedge, lime wedge and mint sprig.

1 part Skinnygirl Cucumber Vodka
1 part Dekuyper Triple Sec
2 part grapefruit juice
Flower for garnished

Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice, pour and garnish with a flower.

2 parts Altos Plata
.25 part lime juice
2 parts pomegranate juice
3 parts lemonade
Orange bitters

Build in highball over ice, and stir. Garnish over a lemon wedge.

1 part Solerno
1 part Flor de Caña 7
½ part Averna Amarco
½ part fresh lime juice
3 parts spicy ginger beer
¼ part simple syrup
Garnish: Lime Wheel

Shake ingredients except ginger beer with ice. Strain over fresh ice in a Collins glass and top with ginger beer. Stir to combine and garnish with a lime wheel.
