I love to cook and try new recipes. And while I also love to travel, sometimes obligations get in the way of traveling as much as I want to. So I’m always on the hunt for cookbooks that showcase regional cuisine that draws me into the destination. That’s why I’m so excited about a new cookbook named, Tel Aviv: Food. People. Stories. Beautifully curated, Tel Aviv: Food. People. Stories. is a literary work of art, paying homage to the modern city.

With the vibrant colors, illustrations, vivid photography, intriguing stories and creative recipes, the book really captures the spirit of the city. More than a traditional cookbook, Tel Aviv: Food. People. Stories. takes you on a tour of the region’s culinary traditions, farmers markets, restaurants, and its inhabitants. You read stories about local artists, restaurant owners, chefs, community organizers and food writers. They talk about their travels, childhood memories, careers, their family traditions and how the vibrant city and eclectic cuisine has influenced their lives.

In addition to its compelling storytelling, the mouthwatering recipes are innovative and true to the city’s rich, diverse culture. Delicious recipes include avocado sandwiches with pickled carrots, roasted eggplant with Asian tahini, paneer curry with prunes, octopus on skewers, duck-tamarind curry with fried eggplant and so much more.

Author and native of Tel Aviv, Haya Molcho is a traveler and restaurateur. In 2009, Molcho and her sons, Nuriel, Elior, Nadiv and Ilan opened the first NENI restaurant in Vienna’s Naschmarkt. Today there are NENI restaurants in Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Cologne, Zurich, Vienna, Amsterdam, Mallorca and Paris, as well as a cooking school and product lines. Tel Aviv’s cuisine is just as diverse as the city itself and Tel Aviv: Food. People. Stories. celebrates the people and the cuisine. It’s your new must-have travel cookbook.
