Subscription boxes are all the rage and why shouldn’t they be? You can try a boxful of goodies without leaving home and discover new and exciting products each month. One of our favorites that we recently discovered is called Try the World. This service delivers curated boxes filled with gourmet foods from around the world.
There are three different box options to choose from: the Signature box ($39), which includes gourmet foods from a new country each month, along with a Culture Guide to help you create meals and advance your culinary experience; the Snack box ($19), which includes a selection of snacks from around the world; and the Pantry box ($29.95), which includes a customized selection of pantry staples tailored to your specific needs. Additionally, Try the World makes an effort to work with smaller, family-owned companies that utilize traditional and artisanal methods to produce their goods.
We tried out their Signature Holiday box over the holidays and fell in love! We tried goodies from around the world, and even baked some spiced bread. Everything in the box was perfect to indulge in during the holidays, especially when cozying up near the fireplace. We loved figuring out how to enjoy each product – from pairing the Israeli date spread with cheese and crackers, to sweetening up our night with Swedish ginger snaps.
We loved that the box came with the Culture Guide, which describes each product and where it comes from, along with carefully selected recipes using some of the products. That way, you can really enjoy each item as its meant to be enjoyed in its home country. There surprisingly wasn’t anything we didn’t like in the box! I’ve definitely hopped on the Try the World bandwagon, and suggest you do, too!
