Digging the Good Vibes at BIVE

With so much information available all the time, people are increasingly taking knowledge into their own hands. You can easily become overloaded with information, whether it’s accurate or not, and recently, the general public has made it a priority to not take anything as ‘fact’ until they do their own research. This is especially true in the health and wellness industry. Why are people obsessing over matcha? Does drinking charcoal water actually provide any benefits? How much kombucha is too much kombucha? These are all trendy foods and products that are constantly making headlines, but until you do your research, you don’t really know whether it’s the right fad for you.

That’s why it’s so refreshing to find a company that you know has your best interests at heart. BIVE is an up and coming ice cream shop in Manhattan’s Lower East Side, and is set to make waves in the alternative ice cream space. Using all natural ingredients, BIVE takes beneficials elements like echinacea, valerian root and dark chocolate, and builds their flavors around those elements, instead of incorporating these superfoods into flavors last minute in minuscule amounts. The majority of their flavors are also vegan and gluten-free, giving people with dietary restrictions a treat they can look forward to.

Touted as “ice cream with a purpose,” flavors can be selected by taste or by benefit! Boost Me Up is a tropical sorbet that includes passion fruit, collagen, chia seeds, coconut water amaranth, and helps to improve skin, joints, gastrointestinal health, provides protein, and hydrates you with natural electrolytes. One of our favorite spins on a classic, Keep Me Comfy, is made with peppermint, aloe vera, dark chocolate and oak milk. This mint chocolate chip riff provides anti-inflammatory properties, cleanses the body and supports digestion. Keep Me Balanced is another sorbet with a mix of strawberries, goji berries and vitamin C, which provides benefits such as stress reduction, proper functioning of the nervous system, and high amounts of vitamins, fiber, iron, zinc and antioxidants.

BIVE Scoop

The shop currently have twelve flavors to choose from and regularly comes out with seasonal and new flavors to add to the menu. You can also see a plethora of the healthy ingredients they use on display in the store. Unlike other healthier ice cream options like protein-packed ice cream or some dairy-free ice creams, the ones at BIVE have a terrific consistency AND are packed with flavor. You won’t feel deprived of that sweet treat you’re craving if you swap in these flavors from your unhealthy go-tos.

Best of all, you can pick up single serving and pint size flavors to bring home and stock in your freezer! We’re looking forward to the day when we’ll see BIVE in our grocery stores because feeling this good while indulging in ice cream has no price tag.
