How To Halloween in NYC This Year

by

Still looking for some last minute ways to celebrate All Hallow’s Eve this year? Look no further. Whether you’re looking to splurge with a vacation or staycation in the city, want something fun for the whole family, or just want to dance til the vampires go back to bed, there is plenty to sip, see, and do all over New York City this year.

Ghoulish Stays

Say it with me: “beetlejuice, beetlejuice, beetlejuice!” Head to the New York Marriott Marquis for a one-of-a-kind stay at their otherworldly Beetlesuite. Here, fans of the movie and Broadway show can spend the evening in a room designed by the same team that created the set for Beetlejuice The Musical. A polaroid camera, The Handbook for the Recently Decreased, gummy worms, and green bedside lights add to the ghoulish ambiance. Book your tickets, starting at $599, here.

Parties

Williamsburg’s Ethyl’s is hosting the ultimate Halloween dance party every night from October 27th through 30th. Enjoy beats by DJ Ronnie Mari on the 27th and 28th, DJ Omen on the 29th, and DJ DMs on the 30th. Paying homage to the roaring days of Studio 54 and Max’s Kansas City, guests can not only dance the night away, but also enjoy bites like Banana Spiders (crispy plantains with chimichurri aioli), the Original Fi’Dolla’ Burger, Ethylz Pretzel, and fresh popcorn. Drinks include Hot Blooded (Espolon tequila, blood orange, agave, and jalapeño), and Smoke on the Water (Vida Mezcal, blue curaçao, and fresh lemon).

Head to the Carnival of Horrors Halloween Bash, taking place on October 29th. If you’re looking for a different kind of Halloween, head to The Algonquin Hotel, which is hosting a Pink Masquerade Party to benefit the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. In lieu of tricks and treats, the hotel will host a night of fantastic fun featuring live music, pink cocktails, and a silent auction with exclusive memorabilia. Personalized drawings by fashion artist Steve Q will be available, as well as an exhibition of work from artist Sandra Muss, and jewelry from Gorgeous Gems Design.
