Anything can happen in New York City. One of the greatest things about living here is the opportunity to try some of the best foods and drinks in the entire world. NYC is a hub for the best chefs and mixologists around and they sure love to experiment. From booze-infused popsicles to boozy milkshakes, there are plenty of spots in NYC that combine your love of sweets with your love of alcohol. We’ve gone into a sugar coma in order to find the best of the best the city has to offer to fulfill your childhood sweet tooth with your adult needs. Check out New York City’s best boozy treats!

Affogato Pops

If you want a party in your mouth you need not trek far. Italian restaurant 83 1/2, located on the UES, dishes out delightful Affogato Pops that are sure to impress. The boozy popsicles are akin to an adult creamsicle, made with espresso sorbet, hazelnut ice cream, which is infused with Pernod. The popsicles are served with a Pernod scented zabaione (custard cream) and hazelnut crumble brittle so that patrons can dip the popsicle into the cream and roll it in the brittle for a delicious sensory overload.

Park Avenue Punch

For those who like to keep their booze in a cup, we’ve got something right up your alley. Gansevoort Park Avenue’s Rooftop is serving up a refreshing spiked slushie called Park Avenue Punch. The strong treat surely packs a punch with Kelvin citrus slush, rum, passion fruit puree, grenadine and pineapple juice and will make you feel as if you’re lounging in the Caribbean instead of in the city. Additionally, the Rooftop offers Strawberry Basil Tequila Popsicles to thirsty patrons who are looking to cool off.

For a casual boozing sesh, hit up Brother Jimmy’s for one of their amazing boozy ice cream floats or spiked coffees. Choose from sweet float options like The Dark & Snappy, made with Mother’s Milk, Snap Liquor and topped with bourbon ice cream, or the Cherry Rhubarb Pie Float, made with Rhubarb Tea Liquor, Cheerwine and a scoop of rum ice cream, perfect for a warm summer day. Now luckily, Bro J’s also has some options for those evil rainy days like the Kentucky Coffee, made with coffee, Woodford Reserve, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream, or the Carolina Coffee, made with coffee, Bacardi Oakheart, Bailey’s and whipped cream. No matter the weather, they’ve got your poison.

Pictured above are the Mmmm Bacon, made with maple ice cream, maple, bacon fat, bourbon and cinnamon sugar, and the Sweet Home Alabama, made with butter pecan ice cream, Jim Beam bourbon, candied pecans and whipped cream. These desserts really hit the spot and they also have five other boozy milkshake options to choose from!
