Rosés to Drink All Year Round

by

While most associate rosés with warmer temperatures, we are firmly in the camp that rosé should be a year round beverage. Let’s make it a priority to always have a few bottles in the house, shall we?

Villa Wolf Sparkling Rosé, Germany
A sparkling wine that’s perfect regardless of the season, this bottle of German effervescence has a weight to it that adds an air of sophistication to any celebratory occasion. Extremely dry and sourced from 100% Pinot Noir grapes, the Villa Wolf sparkling would make a wonderful centerpiece for any holiday or event.
Vibe Check: A great selection if you’re in charge of the bevs for your best friend’s bridal shower.

Avaline Canned Rosé
Avaline is a simple, 250ml can of refreshing, vegan-friendly wine by Cameron Diaz and Katherine Power that’s perfect for the wine drinker on the go. With notes of melon and citrus and free of added sugars and sulfites, these organic grapes leave you feeling giddy without the guilt.
Vibe Check: Can’t bear to look at another can of White Claw? Throw a few cans in your cooler and head to Sheep’s Meadow for a sun-drenched day with your pals.

Weingut Meyer-Näkel Spätburgunder Rosé Trocken, 2020, Germany
A complex name for a complex wine, this bottle is a wonderful mouthful in more ways than one. With a long finish and notes of strawberries and pineapple, this bottle is well balanced enough to stand up to a heartier meal or cooler temperatures.
Vibe Check: A great addition to a rooftop gathering as the weather transitions into fall, but with enough effervescence to stand up in the middle of summer, this German rosé is an evergreen option for a sparkling wine.

Josh Cellars Prosecco Rosé, California
A bit on the sweeter side, the Josh Prosecco Rosé is a bottle I prefer to add into cocktails that normally call for prosecco, and I can confirm it was an excellent addition to an Aperol Spritz I made recently.
Vibe check: Do you have a patio? Make yourself a spritz and get out there. Don’t have a patio? Make one anyway and sit near a window, it will be just as lovely.

Les Sarrins Rosé, Italy
Straight from the heart of Provence, Les Sarrins is a small batch product from a family-owned vineyard located midway between the French Alps and the Mediterranean Sea. It is crisp and light-bodied and pairs well with appetizers, fish entrees, or chicken, but is easily as enjoyable in the middle of August as the middle of March.
Vibe Check: A perfect bottle for your post-winter emergence when you simply *cannot* drink any more Cabernet Sauvignon.

Mezzacorona Delisa Pinot Grigio Rosé
Delisa Pinot Grigio Rosé tastes like actual sunshine in a bottle, and light florals and bright acidity give it the nimble agility to compliment a first course meal in the fall as well as a 90 degree day in the depths of a New York City summer.
Vibe Check: The Delisa would make an excellent addition to your Thanksgiving imbibements.
