Don’t Miss Cocktails & Dessert at SERRA by Birreria This Season

by

Long known for its beautiful seasonal decor, SERRA by Birreria, the rooftop at Eataly’s Flatiron location, stuns patrons again with its blooming greenhouse-style decorations. Inspired by the Italian countryside, the rooftop space is overflowing with greenery, subtle pops of color, and woven basket-style lighting.

In keeping with the lush and fresh spring decor, the restaurant also features fresh, seasonal specialties like their creamy burrata, a selection of spiedini (aka skewers), housemade pastas, and an assortment of fresh fish, meats and vegetables. “I am excited about this iteration of Serra;” Executive Chef Michael Nogera states, “It gives us the opportunity to evolve our dishes, especially the ones featuring produce.” Start off with their beautiful cheese and charcuterie board, and follow it up with an entree or two — but don’t forget to save room for dessert. It’s one of the main draws of a night out at SERRA.

The tiramisu here is not to be missed — not only is it light and airy, but it packs a load of flavors into a wonderfully presented dish. The meringata is reminiscent of a strawberry shortcake, but without the cake. Comprised of a meringue sphere, and filled with macerated strawberries and whipped cream, this dessert just screams “summer.”

While the drink menu includes a selection of Italian IPAs, as well as natural and biodynamic wines, the real draw here are the cocktails. Infused with seasonal botanicals and floral flavors, the cocktails taste as bright and colorful as they look.

Best of all, Eataly partnered with the Brooklyn Botanic Garden for this iteration of SERRA by Birreria, and a portion of the proceeds during this collaboration will go towards the garden’s Children’s Garden.
